The short version
TrendPost finds public discussions in your field and helps you write about them. To do that we need to know what your field is, and we keep what you write. We do not sell any of it, and we do not use your writing to train anyone else’s AI.
What we collect
Only what the product needs to work:
- Your email address, which is how you sign in.
- What you tell us about your field: your industry, who you write for, the topics you care about, and how you like to sound.
- Any writing samples you choose to give us. These are optional, and the product works without them.
- The drafts we write for you, your edits to them, and which ones you marked as published.
- Which topics you rated useful or hid, so the search improves.
- Basic technical records of errors and background jobs, which is how we notice when something is broken.
What we do not collect
We do not connect to your LinkedIn account, and we cannot post on your behalf. Marking a post as published is something you tell us; we do not check. We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
Who else sees it
A few companies handle parts of the product on our behalf. Each one only receives what it needs for its own job, and none of them may use it for anything else:
- Supabase stores the database and handles signing in.
- OpenAI writes the drafts. Your topic and your writing samples are sent with each request. Their business terms do not permit training on this material.
- Resend sends our email, so it handles your email address.
- Vercel runs the website itself.
- Reddit and Tavily are read-only sources. We send them search terms, never anything about you.
How long we keep it
Your account and everything in it stays until you delete it. Details about the outside discussions we found are thinned out after fourteen days, keeping the link and dropping the rest. When you close your account, everything is removed after a seven-day grace period, during which signing in again cancels the deletion.
What you can do
You can download everything you have written from your settings page, at any time, as a single file. You can close your account from the same page. You can turn off the morning email either in settings or from the link at the bottom of any one of them.
Security
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Your data is separated by account, and every request checks who is asking before returning anything. No system is perfect: if we ever discover a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
Children
TrendPost is a tool for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.

If we change any of this in a way that matters, we will update the date on this page and email you. Questions go to hello@trendpost.dev, and a real person reads them.
